Only able to load via NFCU cards.
I'm sure if you fund via CC it'll be a CA.

I have 2 of them. It's not a cash advance. You can also dump $500 via atm every week per their T&C. However, after 2 consecutive weeks of successfully doing this I wasn't able to withdrawal on the 3rd week or anytime there after (the few times I tried). I also tried to use the card to buy MO at walmart and never went through. I tried to call in and it asks for my phone password, who knows what that is. I didn't want to speak to a CSR because I have 2 accounts the same name as the parent. I was able to drain on Evolve. I loaded again last week and got $500 via Atm on both cards.

NFCU has some random, unpublished limits on Buxx and gift card purchases. I think it is around $2k/month but am not sure if this is calendar, rolling 30, or if there are other (weekly?) limits as well. I wonder if Evolve is a work around since there is no PIN involved.

Not sure if you pay attention to the Evolve thread, but there's a new 4 billpays/month per bill. Shutdowns and warning emails flying left and right.

Also considering loading TDBuxx with a Citi personal CC and then using TDBuxx to pay off a Citi Business card. That route seems less risky.

I've done this with no issues.

I'm currently getting: "Maximum number of reloads reached." on my TD Go account.

I'm pretty sure I haven't hit the limit with loads according to the wiki. I have 2 teen accounts and the one I'm trying to load looks like this for loads:

05/27/2014 Teen Websales Manual Card Reload (Parent) $1,000.00
05/20/2014 Teen Websales Manual Card Reload (Parent) $1,000.00
05/08/2014 TD Bank Card Load (Parent) $500.00

You may have hit the max reloads for the particular credit card you are using to load. Try a different cc.

Also make sure your balance will be 2K or under.

Ditto. I've been doing this since the TD Go Card launched.

I've only used this card to load 1k so far. Used a different card for the other 3.5k (between 2 teen cards)

Balance is $0.41.

I have a spreadsheet that calculates everything for me automatically based on the loads and it has that I load 2k in the last 30 days. Do the load fees count towards anything?

Still has to be loaded with NFCU card right?

Yes but if you have a way to unload its up to $1K per load up to 5 loads per month so $5K, there are no activation or load fees and the NFCU card gives 2% cashback on travel.

From my experience, airline cards are the most problematic with cash funding. I'll give it a shot and report back.

I'm not following you. Are you saying Navy considers a Buxx load to be travel, or are you just saying it's not a bad card to have because it also gives 2% back on travel?

He's referring to the NFCU Visa Signature Flagship Rewards card.

2 points for ever $1, redeemable for travel.

Your NFCU CC you use to load the NFCU Buxx gives 2x points on everything which equates to 2% cashback when redeemed for travel.
