Your NFCU CC you use to load the NFCU Buxx gives 2x points on everything which equates to 2% cashback when redeemed for travel.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up. The BF is a NFCU member, but I've never considered their credit products to be worth pursuing.

Their worth isn't in their credit card products, but their loans and customer service.

That I did know about because I used to spend a lot of time on the MyFICO forums - NFCU is one of the most popular financial institutions over there. If I ever need a huge loan, that's where I'll go. But for MSing, I still think there are better non-CU options (mostly because I can't get into PenFed).

There's also the thought that you don't want to sh!t where you eat. I wouldn't want to jeopardize my relationship with an institution like that by MSing on some cards that aren't great to begin with.

OT but how come you can't get in PenFed? I don't have any military family members, nor did I serve, and I got in by just doing a one time $20 donation to a military families support charity.

I just tried to make a payment again on my Citi Exec over the phone and it wouldn't go through. Any suggestions on what to do? Should I call TD?

VISA Buxx

Please don't. I've done a lot of payments with Exec, always works.

I'm such an ........ I'm sure this is why it didn't go through:

Max transactions: $2,000 / 7 days

I did $1500 yesterday and was attempting $1500 today.

I was just about to say, be sure to check your weekly spend limits. I always load 2k, then a week later 1k, just so I don't accidentally forget and go over purchase limits. And I just finished draining one of the TD cards via a payment to a Citi AA card, so it is definitely alive and well.

And what do you suppose you'll say on that call?

"Hello! I have a question about the TD Go debit card I fraudulently obtained under my (nonexistent?) teen's name and social security number. You see, I'm trying to exploit your system in order to manufacture several thousand dollars of spending each month so I can hit some credit card minimums, and then cleverly use the TD Go card to pay off the same credit card... Sure, I can hold."

To be clear: do NOT call TD Bank.

What, precisely, is it that you are worried about?

Will you starve? Get sick? Lose your job? Your home? Die?

Ever hear 7 to 14 days for cards to arrive?
If you think that's bad. I wait 3-4 weeks for my TD Buxx to arrive.
Calm down. They'll arrive. Worst case you'll have to contact them to send them again.

xiKiNGix Jun 11, 2014 8:07 pm

Mine never came after a month, called and they reissued new cards which took a week to arrive.
