A new behavior I've just observed over the weekend involved me with 10 $500 cards loading, $1500 at a time with 3 cards per transaction, where the 1st 3 swipes will go through but any attempts at a back-to-back transaction (set of swipes) at the same register (provided the cashier is nice enough to let you try) will all decline and in fact *cause* the cards tried to lock up (no, repeated attempts of the same card do not eventually work for InComm, unlike BHN cards that eventually go through). I was able to do another $1500 across 3 swipes at a different register in the same store without issue, but subsequent transactions at the same register even as small as $500 still lock up the card attempted. I had all of the locked up card replaced of course, but my takeaway is InComm has implemented both velocity limits for buying (see my post above) and now unloading (YMMV). Long gone are the days where you can walk into a Walmart with a stack of 10 $1000 cards from Simon/BHN and load 4 Bluebird/Serves to the daily $2500 max...

I've gone through about $40K in Pathward/Incomm's in the last 30 days without a hiccup. That is rare, as I usually get some that will lock-up and have to be replaced. However, I never swipe more than two in a row in a 15 minute period. The sweet spot seems to be somewhere between 10 and 15 minutes.

Did WM increase the swipe limit? It had been 4 swipes at the most.

I did 3 swipes in 1 transaction, tried another 2 a little too soon at same register, 4th approved 5th declined, both needed to be replaced

I have found that a third swipe sometimes works, but the fourth never does. Accordingly, I do not even attempt a third swipe, anymore, as once the card locks, it needs to be replaced.

I had been seeing a similar but worse issue. 2 InComm worked, 3rd InComm failed. To mitigate, I would swipe 2 InComm + 2 BHN max then go to separate Walmart to repeat.
that was working until last week. In the last 3 days every attempt to use brick & mortar purchased nComm at Walmart fails. Online purchased InComm still BAU at Walley, but Safeway, CVS, Walmart purchased InComm (Sutton or Patward) no go.
the result is new too. Third card still locked up. First two did NOT lock up, but when I called CS the automated system says your transaction at Walmart was declined. Cards later worked at Safeway

- 2x Sutton BIN 411810 exp 3/33 (CVS and Safeway, just before the VGC purge started there)
- 1x Pathward BIN 409758 exp 3/33 (WM, new holiday design).
First Sutton works $495, second Sutton no love. Tried the new holiday Pathward just in case, it worked at $495 also?!?!
No real rime or reason here that I can find yet.

Yes, one positive 100% unload to One card from a Staples BHN Visa with that BIN. I think I may have had a failed load at a different WM on the same day, though, so YMMV as usual.
