Maybe a dumb question, but are you self-loading these at SCO? I've read pages and pages and have been led to believe that this isn't possible

Has ANYONE that's had their One account closed actually received your money back yet? If so, how long did it take?

Almost a month in and nothing yet. Don't bother calling Coastal Bank as they will just tell you they can't help you as One Card does not open any account with your name on it with them so they don't consider you a customer of the bank.

Have you guys filed complaints regarding ONE and Coastal Community Bank with the various banking regulators such as CFPB and the Federal Reserve (who it looks like regulates CCB)? I'd suggest it........if for no other reason cuz I'm likely gonna be in your shoes soon too. :)

First, One Bank is a real bank and has to play by the rules, so yes, you will eventually get your money by check, probably within 10 to 14 business days.
Second, most of these on-line banks will allow you to download monthly statements so there is no need to screenshot every transaction other than the current month's activity. It would be nice if you tell us your activity that caused them to shut you down. ONE is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services provided by Coastal Community Bank, Member FDIC. |

From One website:
ONE is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services provided by Coastal Community Bank, Member FDIC. So this is an interesting look at banking. I wonder if One considers themselves like a Crypto bank, unregulated and can do anything they wish with your money, like make 'donations' to various influential groups?? Thanks for pointing this out. It now makes me even more reluctant to get involved with them until others get their money back. They should write the CFBP for resolution. A 'normal' bank wouldn't hold funds on closed accounts for more than several weeks. |
I really want to see a DP where someone NEVER pushes out of their ONE and only pulls from hub bank for a prolonged period. I wonder if that's the key to longevity.

I only ever pulled and still shutdown on One #1. On One #2 actually I ever pushed, pulled but completely used the card for debit transactions online and still shutdown. Of course doing 5 figures a month of volume is probably going to get on their radar no matter what lol

Just going to give my 2cents.
They may be evaluating YOU in terms of profitability. They make $$ from your deposits and purchases. The average MS’r will load at wm, which may incur a transaction cost to them? Who know how their partnership is drafted with WM. Always draw down balances to pay back cc or ach out. In which case they make nothing from you. After 2-3 months, if I was One, I would shut you down. Take advantage of the 5% savings APY. Leave a fair chunk of change in there to prove you are not just there to game their product. To me this is a win/win if it’s sustainable and profitable for both sides. This is a $3000/day with no weekly/monthly/annual cap. What more can we ask for? AGAIN, just my 2 cents. |
