Super-newbie questions here:
1. Where does one typically find these for sale in the store -- behind the counter?
2. Am I correct to assume that if the promotion is running it will be advertised on a sign nearby? Or is it the kind of thing that's tucked away in a store flier or something?

2. There will normally be a sign on top of the kiosk.

The promotion sign will be on top of the gift card stand. Sometimes, the store hasn't put up the promotion yet, but it is indeed running. Most of the time, employees themselves have no idea what the promotion details are.

The past few times it has worked out that way to get $30 off of $600. I think one time it did not start taking $30 until midweek of the sale. Other times just $15 off the entire week. Will need to test it out once the sale starts.

Absolutely.
I stopped into my favorite OD today for 3 MGC's because I was out of GC's for routine organic spend and saw the sign for the VI deal starting tomorrow.
The best thing was that I saw the BHN rep had been in to re-stock the racks since last month's deal.
