Kroger ones are through Blackhawk and issued by US Bank too. When I take advantage of these promotions at Kroger/Safeway, and buy quite a few low denomination cards, after I've registered a few cards, I can no longer register any more on the gift site and have to go to a different computer. Real pain.

I can register them just fine, it's just that I can't check the balances or read the transactions on them anymore after registering. I can't even get a balance through the automated system anymore when calling.

Funny you mention that deal. I actually took advantage of it. I bought two $100 visa giftcards, got $15 off. Then I saw this deal. I bought one 12 pack of Mic Ultra in the same order, and three days later, I got an email with my paypal account saying I received $25. Not a bad trip to the store.

Sure, let's make it even more convoluted - why not with a purchase of $10 or more in flowers (*roses excluded), a pack of sugar-free gum (*only mint flavor) and 5 gallons or more of gas (*only 87 octane and higher). Oh and you get a link that you can only access if you sign up 3 friends for Safeway just 4 U (*additional terms and conditions apply)
