I owe the thread an explanation.

Since the day of my posting, USB VGC have had a 1 hour activation time similar to the one you experience when purchasing Vanilla VGC. I believe this was the cause of my USB issues and the similar issues you see posted on other threads/forums. If you give the USB gift cards an hour before you use them you should be fine.

I buy BHN USB vgc weekly and drain 10 minutes later with no problems ever….no waiting for activation time. I also buy Vanilla vgc at CVS weekly and drain 10 minutes later. I keep reading about a lag in activation for some vgc but I have never experienced this issue over the years. I don’t understand why it affects some people but not others….like me.

Has anyone bought SS card whose exp on 01/30 specifically at Vons/Safeway recently? The card looks suspicious to me when I bent the pull tip over I do not see blue plastic stripe that helped you to tear all the way down. It reminded me of those sticky glue dot on USB GC I purchased 5 years ago at Ralphs in SoCal. The Cards that has exp on 12/29 look fine to me. Is this another inside job in SoCal again?

I just came across this thread and have only read the comments on this page so far. What is this "55% off sale" you referred to?

Simon Mall Visa Gift Cards, when you buy in their volume program, has frequent sales where they discount their fees. 50% is common and usually happens once per month. Last month there was a 55% off sale so I snagged a few orders. For me, I prefer to order the max, 10 $1000 VGCs. My total order cost usually ends up around $10,030. With MO costs, my total cost ends up being about $47 and 3 hours time/gas cost to liquidate and deposit. Depending upon what I'm doing (shooting for SUB minimum spend or just getting points) I can either fully hit a SUB or get 15,000 UR points. If it's a SUB, I usually do great, but even if it's straight up UR points, just over one-third cent per point that I value at 1.5 cents especially with Pay Yourself Back.

I thought you meant 55% off of the value of the gc. 55% off of the fee is not nearly the same. PYB is not as good anymore after Chase removed grocery as an option. What do you use it for now?

Yeah I’m having issues in both the app and website. Looks like their login system is down.
