I called bluebird and they had no answer all they could tell me to do is send a snail mail asking why.

I believe the answer is pretty simple:

I'm wondering has anyone actually tried to load today with a "closed" account?

Unfortunately yes. That is how I learned of this. Kate sent me a message that "debit not authorized. Contact issuer". Went to csr, got the small receipt.... Just bought $5500 from simon this morning ha

Both my wife and I got shutdown today as well. I hit it good back in the day of VR's and CVS, but when that got shut down, I slowed considerably, as I hate Wal-Mart. I've averaged maybe $1000 a month in loads for myself and my wife, since then. I typically use the check writing system to pay people like our house cleaner and pet sitter, things that can't be paid by credit card. This will affect Wal-Mart, with all the ancillary spend. Then again maybe they'll fix all their Kates!

I think my last BB was not shutdown, the other 4 were.

The one that is still open was opened only in December I think.

Looks like MOs are my only offloading technique now. I luckily loaded 5k on the 6th, just in time. I have several bank accounts but all those MOs will get suspicious eventually.

:(
