Problem loading VR to BB

Yes, I can still buy VRs. But suddenly they will not load to BB. Tried both the website and the phone method. Anyone else having this issue?

I just loaded to Server via the phone 10 minutes ago. Might try again. If not try to get a MVD or other card you can load with VR's to offload and dump.

The plot thickens...

Had 2 x 500 VRs that I couldn't dump to BB. This morning, I tried from my work computer. One actually went through!!! Went online checked BB balance, and it was there.

The second one - it will not let me do it. Keep getting the error message to call my prepaid provider. To make a long story short, I was informed by the BB rep that, "Their contract with VR is no longer in effect" and that, "I will not be able to load from VR to BB."

He did say that I would be able to use the VR and just load to "another card." Gee, thanks. It is a good thing that I have another card that will accept VR, or I'd be out $500.

I'm going to keep trying to load the BB anyway. Maybe I will get lucky one last time like I did a little while ago. But heed my warning - if you are still able to buy VR's they probably will NOT load to BB any longer.

Update -

Tried from my work computer again and no luck - error message.

Ran outside got my laptop from my car. Tried with that. WENT THROUGH! So basically, one may still get lucky by using another computer, or browser, or whatever. But I would not rely on VR to BB loads any longer. Especially considering what the rep told me just before.

@mrmandel - yes they did inform us that pin reload was no longer available for purchase. But there are a few places left that will sell them and still do.

Given that VR is not an Amex product, and thus Amex has no control over the sale of VRs, the consensus has been that Amex's April 1 deadline applied to reloading BB with VR. Judging by your results today, I'd say that interpretation was correct. I'd guess that the glitchiness will sort itself out over the next day or so and VRs won't work at all.

Has anyone attempted to purchase today? I bought 3 on the 29th and loaded this morning. I would have to find a few to take to my local store to try from another store that is off my normal travel path.

If not, I will try if I can swing by there today or tomorrow.

I assume it is related to: Another one bites the dust, Vanilla Reloads no longer accepted by BB.

Physical VR cards are no longer supposed to be sold April 1st and forward. Thought this was pretty well known by now.

Stores should have pulled all of them from the racks in preparation.
