@mrmandel - yes they did inform us that pin reload was no longer available for purchase. But there are a few places left that will sell them and still do.
Given that VR is not an Amex product, and thus Amex has no control over the
sale of VRs, the consensus has been that Amex's April 1 deadline applied to reloading BB with VR. Judging by your results today, I'd say that interpretation was correct. I'd guess that the glitchiness will sort itself out over the next day or so and VRs won't work at all.
