How to pay down CL quickly?
Use WF account to pay
Likely to get shut down if...?
- Cycling several times through your CL
- Cause a negative balance
- Have a really high balance
- Calling in and getting caught by human eyes on bestiality activities.
To check what your 5X/5% window is:
In your account summary page on WF website, go into the CC, and click "show my rewards" on the left side, then click "Visit Wells Fargo Rewards"
From there go to "Earn Rewards" on the top and click "My Offers" and go into the "Promotional Offers-Usage" tab.
To check which transactions get 5X/5% before your statement posts
To check if new transactions are eligible, go to "My Rewards" on the top, click "Activity", and set the start/end dates. You should see a "bonus earning" 4% for anything that's eligible.
What to do when transaction not going through due to FA?
Human @ fraud prevention line is 877-575-0462 (to verify charges if locked out) (Update 3-3-15 - Phone number no longer in service per this post)

Last day of 5% offer
My "end day" of the 6 months is 11/1. I called customer service and they say that I will not earn 6% on this date. That in fact the last day I will receive the 5% is on 10/31. Can anyone else confirm this? I feel like that is not true. I have had this card before and i am pretty sure I pushed it all the way to the end including the "end date"

Promotion was available in September and then extended in October. I checked WF website and didn't see it for November, but wanted to double check here.

Just confirmed on the rewards site. My end date was this past Sunday. 2 days later my 5X rewards show pending on the site. So, despite the conflicting data points over the past years, as of 11/1/2015 you WILL get all your 5X points even on the "end date" of your promotional period.

Why do you need for the rewards account to completely drop off your account first? I assume you cancelled the card or else the rewards account wouldn't go away.

I don't understand the logic of this (or what it means to "drop off" your account). The promotion is by card type; whether a previously closed account is or is not visible on the website has no bearing.

You can do as you wish. This is the method I use. This is my 3rd card. Usually after I cancel the card, the accounts still appear online for a long time. I prefer to wait for them to disappear completely. Anyway, I need the rest. I go VERY hard on this card when I have it. 3-4 hours per day of MSing.
