Guys, you just have to go and try. That is part of the game. Someone would of report it if it was cash advance. Secondly, set cash advance limits and try small.

Go visit the malls, support economy, buy a gift card.

Thank you to the posters here and the op for the tip.

It’s coded on my Citi bill as transaction type 2:

Merchant Category: MISCELLANEOUS / SPECIALTY RETAIL STORES

And for Amex:

XXXXXX MALL 4820 PERSON $502.95
Doing business as:

Just loaded OV and SGC to BB at WM with no issues.

Called my local Simon Mall in NJ and they said they only sell Visa gift cards to Businesses, but you can buy the Amex ones for $2.95. Anyone had this issue? Obviously I want the Visa and not the Amex one. This was guest services though - is the info kiosk any different, or are they both the same thing?

Did you buy these at the mall or did you order it online from their website?

They sell both, amex and B of A

If you purchase the wrong one, guess you can use the Amex card the next day to get the B of A, 2.95 more....

I went to the Mall at Short Hills today and they told me they only sell Amex GC. NO Visa GC. Guess I have to do more shopping at other malls.

Simon does not sell Visa cards in NJ, nor in my state of CT. It's in their terms and conditions on their website. Only Amex cards are sold in NJ and CT.

Then tell them you are a business, or have a trusted friend buy them in another state...

I have an INK Business card, most of us have an EBAY Business..

I don't understand. I was informed that they do not sell Visas in CT at a local office, and they prohibit the purchase online. Can you explain a workaround?
