Does anyone have any experience with a usaa mortgage and evolve? That would be great for me!

Just tried using Evolve for our US Bank mortgage and got a call from a lending person. After speaking to a CSR it seems to work but she warned me repeatedly that paying in smaller amounts can cause problems - an errant payment going haywire or, possibly, a stop being put on the account if it gets too "messed up".

Looks like I'll have to figure out something else, unfortunately. :(

WF mortgage just posted for (example: 5x200 and a 125 amount) through evolve for a total of 1125. It seems WF accepted it as a full payment, however the last set of $200 shows a negative unapplied funds of -925 (200 - mortgage payment amount).

Is this how it's supposed to show up?

My first month to do Evolve :-) And I was lucky enough to find a grocery store to sell me a Reloadit w/CC (yay me!). I made sure to hand the cashier the card upside down lol and I purchased a GC with it. Figured 1 GC would be better than a partially full Reloadit b/c I can MO the GC balance instead of having the Reloadit amount sitting around for a month. Plus the net cashback amount for the full GC was better than the partial Reloadit.

That confused me too. The way I read it is all the payments up until the last one are added to "unapplied funds" and the last one triggers a removal of money from unapplied funds bucket and applies them to the payment.

Same experience here. I submitted them all on the same day. The first few were "unapplied funds" until the total reached the full amount - then it applied it to my monthly payment.

All of mine were applied to principal, didn't see anything saying upapplied funds. Contacted WF, and they will correct this payment, but suggest I use their free payment site. Which of course doesn't do debit cards!

Can someone share their experience using Evolve for paying Sallie Mae student loans. I need to pay my entire remaining balance of about 20 to 30k and was wondering what kind of glitches there might be in using multiple $500 cards to do this.

No issues here, but I am just making my regular monthly payment, rather than paying off the entire balance. You should be OK. Run a test payment first and wait for it to post.

Thanks for letting me know. Could you tell me how long does it generally take for the payment to show up and is it backdated to the day you entered it in evolve?

Once you enter the payment, it will tell you the date of posting, but I believe it is 2 business days.

Does anyone have any datapoints on reset times? I started just before 11:30pm CDT and went past midnight - the days on the billpay changed (went from the 3rd to the 4th) but after my 5th pay, the 1,000 limit kicked in. 24 hour rolling? 12am EDT? 12am PDT?

I'll offer up some Wells Fargo/Evolve info. My mortgage is due on the 1st, late charge hits on the 16th. We had always ACH'd out of our checking on the 7th. I paid via Evolve for the first time in March, over the first weekend (two payments each day). All four payments arrived on Monday the 3rd and were put into unapplied funds even though they added to exactly the payment. They sat in unapplied funds for three days before I called to see what was up (so I could cancel the ACH). The CSR told me that they would put in a "work order" to move them from unapplied funds to payment (that happened about five days later) and that they would also put in a "work order" to have this happen automatically in the future. We will see if that happens or not. I don't believe there is any point in the weekend payments - everything goes into unapplied funds given Evolve's limit (unless you have a sub $1000 mortgage and a debit card with that much $ on it). The one thing I don't quite understand is people's comments about payments going to principal if you make them prior to the due date - but to be safe I am going to continue to make Evolve payments on the 1st and 2nd of every month then hopefully the move from unapplied funds to payment will be automatic.

Update for this month. Paid WF mortgage via Evolve on 3/31 and 4/1. The payments from 3/31 hit on 4/1 and went into unapplied funds. The first payment from 4/1 hit on 4/2 and went into unapplied funds. When the second payment from 4/1 hit, it was applied directly to my payment due, and then they unwound the unapplied funds and applied that to my payment due. All automatic and all immediate, unlike my first attempt. Looks like the "work order" that the CSR talked about kicked in. From my standpoint, once you have them prepared for your new payment method, it doesn't look like you have to use multiple accounts in order to pay all on one day (although that works too according to other posts here).

Under Target, Sears, and a few others I think, there is a message that says "Do NOT use this biller to submit credit card payments." The category listed is Retail Store Card. For what purpose would one send Target money if not to pay off their store credit card?
