I add a little further spin on my use of the revolving cards--I buy something somewhere else, before and after the VR purchase. Keeps me earning/renewing miles/points (for those programs where miles/points expire without activity) while, I'm hoping, keeping the CC issuer guessing.

Am tired of walking into local CVS stores and not find any beans. And then I come home to read how people are "hided" them.
Has anyone seen beans at a Bay Area CVS?
PM will be much appreciated!!!

Anybody else having problems with loading VR onto BB?

I just bought a VR at CVS a few hours ago, and when I tried loading the funds, the site was really slow. However, the screen indicating $500 then showed up, but when I hit the final "submit" button, it showed an error message (I think 4002 or 4003). The money didn't go through to BB. I tried doing it again, and it indicated that the funds had been redeemed. I called Vanilla, and they said the money was redeemed, but they couldn't tell which prepaid card the funds went to. I tried calling BB, and they had no record of this. I'm now worried that I lost $500. Anyboyd have similar experiences?

I'm sure this is common knowledge, but I wouldn't mind knowing which pre-paid Visa or MC gift cards can be registered as debit card, with or without PIN.

Silver color "one vanilla" from OD. It says "debit" and it rings as debit in the store by default.

Select credit

At time of purchase, give your Card to the cashier and sign the receipt or push ""credit"" on the keypad. Although it states "debit" on the front of the card, most cards do not come with a PIN, therefore your purchase will be declined if you push ""debit.""
If this actually worked as a debit card with a PIN, it would be the holy grail.

Almost all bonds trade at less than par and are cash equivalents. There are plenty of reasons why a cash equivalent can sell for less than par value. Incomm more likely than not makes most of their Visa/MC money off the float and lost GCs. In fact, I'd wager most if not all of the $4.95 they charge goes to the payment processor and they only make money from the float.

I bought one last night, tried to load this morning, getting this message:

We have NOT reloaded your card. The description of the error can be found below. Please print this screen for your records and contact Customer Service at: 1-877-429-8141

An error has occurred during this transaction. Please verify all the information is correct and try again. If you continue to receive this message contact a service representative for assistance. (180)

Tried it twice, got the same message both times. Havent' called yet.

Just called...lost track of how much i'd been loading...already hit my $5k this month..oops.

Good thought

Can not undo the past, but think I will start to add a couple of more charges to the card as well from somewhere else. Do a little rotation of cards that keep miles/points active. Thanks for the suggestion.
