Getting a confirmed upgrade at time of booking is not something standard I don't think ?
My mistake , sorry.
I thought that the LMO upgrade was a standard virtuoso amenities, but this is not anymore

the compagny used for the escort / buggy service, don't offer the buggy service if your plane arrive close to customs

Correct, the buggy is only used for gates 25 and higher.

Have stayed at the Peninsula, 4 seasons, island shangrila and others. My favorite, by far, is the Upper House. Chic. Large rooms. Convenient location. Has the requisite "swish" factor. Was once upgraded to a corner suite in the Peninsula towers. Amazing, but not cheap to book.

Because they don't let you drive it
I remember a foreigner AA 5stars escort told me that she had to pass her US driving licence just to drive the buggy

I'll be staying in HK in April and after reading the whole thread, I still can't decide between the MO, LMO, FS, Pen. Any recent/new arguments for or against either of these hotels?

I think you made the right choice.

In the warm part of the year I like the FS best for the pool. In the winter I like Upper House for the bigger rooms and more contemporary style.

I was there last week, but have no news that would change the above arguments. I think I posted above that one might try staying at multiple properties to try them out, assuming you will be there for a week or more.

Please do, eagerly waiting for your report...
When are you going? (I'm asking because I'll have to take a decision within the next 4 weeks)

I thought about that too, I'll spend 6 nights there so it might indeed make sense.

Is this still the case in 2015?
