At last, luxury in Cork, Ireland!
The hottest hotel to check out is the just-opened (3 weeks) Capella Castlemartyr, outside Cork. This is Horst Schulze's second Capella hotel and it is a gem. Stay in the Manor House rather than the Capella wing - 11 super-comfortable suites and deluxe doubles to choose from here. I am amazed at the food - decidedly Michelin star level. Great, great service (lots of well trained locals mixed in with disillusioned ex-Ritz-Carlton staff), best spa in UK & Ireland by FAR (Organic Pharmacy products & chlorine-free indoor swimming pool), stunning gardens, decor, everything.
