All things equal I prefer to have a nice view, and fortunately room quality and view are often not mutually exclusive. A good view for me need not be of the Paris skyline or the Eiffel tower. Sometimes I prefer a view of the inner courtyard at George V or Plaza Athenee, etc..

Four Seasons
Peninsula (depending on your opinion of the service)
Park Hyatt
Shangri-La (if you dare)

I like this selection - i think i will try them all on my next trip - I like to hotel hop!!

Let's not forget that very soon we will have two more hopefully superb options in the Ritz and Crillon, making the choice even harder.

I like Espirit Saint Germain - and I'd add it to that list.
