I hope everyone else had a great Valentines day, especially those of you who went to Paris.

Quick Upper House report from my short stay earlier:
PROS:
- Beautifully designed and furnished
- Possibly the largest entry level rooms in the city? Suites are a good size too
- Good location
- Doesn't feel like a city hotel at all. Very much a retreat within the city.
- Service: on the whole, quite good. But if you're expecting Taj/MO/FS/Pen service, you'll be disappointed. A notch or two below truly amazing. But it's good, friendly service, nothing stuffy.
CONS:
- Only one restaurant (understandable for a boutique I suppose). However, plenty of other options in the vicinity.
- Food in general: some good, some bad (wasn't too impressed by the breakfast). At the same time, I didn't try as much food at the restaurant as I wanted, so perhaps worth another shot.
I was hosted by the Upper House, so I'm writing a full review of it for a travel site which will go into further detail (and yet, not quite so much at the same time ), and which I'll post with a more detailed personal review as well as a thread, and my own pics!

India is ok for April (can't wait especially for Amanbagh )
But we canceled Tanzania.
We will go to Israel instead. No real luxury hotel there so we will stay at King David in Jerusalem and Dan Tel Aviv.

Oh, I am looking so much forward to hear about India after you are back. We are planning India now for March 2015.

I'm going to Rome in 2 weeks, staying at The St. Regis, just booked a trip to Shanghai in November, I've never been - Any suggestions on a Starwood or Hilton hotel is appreciated, best location is most valuable and I will use points and hope for an upgrade with Platinum/Diamond status.
