I'll be at StR SF Oct 28-30 & Dec 1-3 for work, and Dec 17-20 for fun. Let me know if we might overlap! It's my fave in the city, so I'll be curious to hear your thoughts in comparison with the others at which you've stayed.

Hi guys, and girls,

I am travelling to Sicily Palermo in 1 month.

I would appreciate if someone can reccomend a hotel there.

It would be good if you can also recommend any other location in Sicily worth seeing.

THANKS!

PH Toronto and SL Toronto. I expect two very different experiences from this stay.

We will miss. I'm there in September. Quick visit this time.

I've stayed at the FS, RC, former MO, Fairmont (LT platinum deal), IC, IC MH (gasp!), LeMeridian and W over the years. Just a few more to go to round out the top properties (and purported tops) in SF.

This is my first time at this St Regis. Are you a fan? (I'm guessing you are!)

I'm a big fan of the StR SF--it is unquestionably my favorite in the city. I love it for its own virtues, but the fact that I'm SPG Plat100 doesn't hurt, either. Love the location (SoMa is my favorite area of the city), love the modern chic decor, love the room configurations, love the service, love the F&B, love the bar, love the Bentley car service. IMO, this is the best city StR in the USA. (I am not a fan of the StR NYC, preferring the Chatwal in the SPG offerings and also loving the Greenwich, Crosby, and Gramercy Park.)

I'd love to hear your thoughts comparing the top SF hotels and what you perceive as strengths/weaknesses.

Next up: Le Bristol, Paris in October. I was more in favour of the MO or SL design, but an ex-Connaught manager left to go work there about a year ago and gave us a great deal that was hard to turn down.
Metropolitan, Miami in November.

Will you be dining at Epicure? I really enjoyed it there.

While it is true that the rooms at the Bristol have a very classic design, it is far superior than both the SL & MO in so many ways. You'll have a fantastic time and you definitely should have lunch or dinner at Epicure (or at le 114 if you're looking for a more affordable option).
