I'm booked on United Flight 900 from SFO to FRA with a tight 45 minute connection onward to TUN on LH 1322. Considering United's dismal on-time performance lately, there is a chance I could miss my LH flight onward to TUN. My ticket is booked on LH ticket stock. Several questions:
1) If I misconnect to the LH flight, will LH rebook me on the only other carrier with nonstop flights? (i.e. Tunisair)
2) If I am forced to overnight in FRA, will LH provide a hotel? I am *G (UA 1K).
3) Am I eligible to use the Senator Lounge with my *G status if I rebook my flights so that I am ticketed on the Tunisair flight as long as I remain on an LH ticket?
Thanks very much

We were travelling on a Z ticket and alerted several FA's to our potential misconnect. They were unable to provide any info. If we weren't bussed in we may have made it
Chap with a clipboard met the bus and told us we had already been rebooked onto the next flight. So we had six hours to spend in what a least was a very nice lounge. A small consolation.
Whilst on the subject of UA900 I have to say I found the 747-400 very disappointing. One bottle of chardonnay for the entire upper deck! Wow. Give me the EWR-MAN 757's any day

I have tried as you suggested and could still see the images, but I have updated all the links. Can you please try again and let me know? Thanks.

By the way I've found an out-dated (pre C13-16 gates) plan of FRA showing remote apron stands in case the limo driver gets lost. On my recent visits to FRA I had the pleasure of being driven to/from V94 in Zeppelinheim, as well as the other end of the airport to F something stand in Kelsterbach which turned out to be quite handy since the plane took off from Runway 18 and didn't have far to taxi. ^

Even our First Class Passengers must re-clear the security they shouldn't have to - that's service. Perhaps all this will change with the advent of A+, perhaps Saudi will start serving Gin and Tonic, who knows.
Oh well, at least I get a head start and the car will get away from the aircraft fairly quickly.

MAN flights are semi-respectable. BHX flights aren't, they are full of reprobates like myself.

Correction: Actually if your flight is delayed and you get a direct ramp transfer you can avoid transfer security. ^
BTW, I saw someone (may be two people) going through passport control at the back of your favourite place the other day. I tried to look for any signs pointing in that direction but I was already at the bottom of the escalator and it was too late to turn back.

I used FRAport app's feedback feature to send a comment that the map on the app is excellent and that it would be useful if the same map is available on FRAport's website. I received the following reply.
"Thank you for your message through our App.
We are glad to hear that you pointed out the map which is available on the app. We have taken your feedback as an advice to give our department which is responsible for our homepage a hint."
It proves as I suspected that different teams are responsible for the website and the app but hopefully the website team might take the hint.

80 minutes in FRA for BUD-FRA-IAH
Am I missing something? I am looking at BUD-FRA-IAH as a possible routing for January, LH1343 connecting to LH440 (on the A380) with 80 minutes connection time. If I'm reading the table oliver2002 posted, the MCT for this would be 100 minutes, or am I wrong? However, this is bookable on lufthansa.com
Regardless of whether it is a legal connection or not, would you feel comfortable with 80 minutes connection time on this itinerary? After my previously reported experience of 5 minutes connecting from A to Z, I tend to be ok with it. However, this time it's going to be a connection from A to C, which takes longer though.
Thanks.

We don't know where A380 flights will depart from after the new Pier A-Plus opens in October, but the new pier can handle up to 4 A380s. You may only have to walk from A to Z but it could be almost as long as A to C. However, 80 minutes should be sufficient provided the incoming flight is not very late.

The MCT is listed in the format HMM, so 100 is 1 hour (=60 minutes) rather than 100 minutes.

Oh, yes, I forgot about A-Plus.

ORD-FRA-LHR connection
On Sept 11 I will be arriving at FRA on LH431 from ORD 06:50. I have a connection on LH902 to LHR leaving at 08:20.
Will that be tight? Do I have to go through security?

If you are on one ticket they'll put you on the next flight to LHR if your incoming flight is very late and you miss your connection.

Is it safe to check-in luggage for a 45 min MCT at FRA? My routing is LHR-FRA-IST (non-Schengen to non-Schengen). My bag is actually small enough to take on board, but it's almost 18 kg which exceeds the 8 kg allowance. They probably won't weigh it, but just in case I'd rather check it in.
Also, does LH still use the HOT tags on baggage tags? Should I ask at check-in at LHR for this tag so my bag is last on/first off?
