Yes, your arriving BP will give you access to the Welcome Lounge. It's definitely worth it. Skip the breakfast on the plane.

I wouldn't wish a deep-A-to-C connection (or the reverse) on anyone! Will make sure to book at least a 90 minute connection next time.

A question if I may:
Scenario: Dad is arriving at FRA on AA from DFW and will meet me at FRA for our LH flight to FCO. I am in C and he is in Y. (I am on miles arriving the day before from Tokyo so it worked out that way).
His flight arrives at 7:30 am and our LH flight to Rome is at 12:25. I would like to take him to the lounge to relax. Am I, on the power of either my LH C Class ticket or my Star Gold status on UA, able to take him into any lounges? If so which ones?
Thank you in advance,
Mike

Your Star Gold status will get you and your dad as your guest into the Senator lounges. The lounge most convenient for your flight to Rome will be the Senator lounge by gate A26 - unfortunately not the best Senator lounge in FRA. If it's too crowded you can try the Business lounge next door.

Just to give you a laugh, here's my latest non-Schengen-Schengen transit at FRA. Please note I have double weero+ status with FRA Security. This afternoon I have the easy transit Schengen-non-Schengen. This contains disturbing scenes of bus gates.
FRA Non-Schengen-Schengen transit
I'm wondering if those Immigration booths in B Non-Schengen Bus Gates will eventually open up some alternative route through maybe to A+ (and I bet you still have to reclear security).

I have an 11 hour layover in FRA coming up in a few weeks when I hope to take some photos to update my FRA connection guide.

Thanks for brightening up the wet Monday morning and for mentioning my name. I was reminded why I have avoided FRA since New Year's Eve 2011 and how I got to know ZRH so well - which btw isn't perfect either. The reason is not so much FRA vs ZRH but rather LH C seats vs LX C seats and LH C fares vs LX C fares. But I digress.

Blame whichever party you would like to - FRA is a disaster. Just one time do C16 to A42 and you will remember. Fortunately I have avoided FRA since the end of May- but the passport control situation is also completely unacceptable at this point.

It was easier on the way back, although being 40 mins late out of WAW didn't help. Another double bus job. But Schengen to Non-Schengen is a little easier (or A Schengen Bus Gates to B32) and I managed to get 25 mins in SEN B, Fish Fingers and Potato Salad
Add to list of nice security - WAW, quite charming and polite.

Hello,
My parents are flying from MAA-FRA-MIA on 25 th july lufthansa all the way. Any help regarding which gates they land and which gates the flight takes off from. Also do they have to go through buses to get to the plane?

The MAA flight usually arrives at the B-gates, the MIA flight leaves from the Z-gates. No buses were involved today or yesterday. I suspect the most likely to be bused is the MAA to B Non-Schengen Bus Arrivals, I doubt if the MIA will be bused. With a two hour connection, this shouldn't be a problem at all.

All these things are in the lap of FRAport and Lufthansa, I'm afraid.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. I took wheel chair assistance for them since they are not familiar with english and its their first international travel. So when you say they are bused from MAA to B Non-Schengen Bus Arrivals, will they be driven from aircraft to the B arrivals in small electric vehicle or will they just be in the bus with other as well. Point i am asking where will they get access to wheel chair assistance at aircraft or B arrivals? also how much time does it take for them to go from B gates to Z gates considering its there first time
I can't help you with the B to Z transit time as it's not a route I've ever done through Frankfurt.

If you say they need wheelchair assistance in advance then you will get it from the appropriate arrival point. I would state that when I checked, the MAA had arrived more at a gate than a bus over the last few days.
