Facharzt! That's a lot of $US, looking at today's exchange rates.

I don't think the offer is targeted to U.S. residents.

Ja waaas! That's a lot of Swiss Francs, looking at today's exchange rates.

if you have that many cups at once then you don't need SEN status

If you marry a HON, you'll get a SEN card for free. That seems to be the cheapest way to SEN...

Cheaper: No more fly at all and getting a SEN-card after 2 years (only works if you are already HON).

SEN Extension gets more expensive

I received a letter from LH today and Mr. Dr. Andreas Bierwirth offered an extension of SEN status for not more than 2000 Euros. So the price for an annual extension jumped up 25%. Seemed to be that this "offer" is one part of their plan to reduce the number of SENs steadily.

However, I'll make it anyway. And there are better ways to spend 2000 Euros whether with MM or not.

Geez... 2000 EUR for a 1 year status extention

And if I remember you donīt get the eVouchers, right ?

There are indeed better ways to spend that money as I absolutely dont see the value for someone paying that amount for the difference between FTL & SEN.

Hm..let's see.

4000 EUR + 4x1000 EUR = 8000 EUR = SEN for two additional years + 4 eVouchers + 4 flexible F awards

or

10000 EUR = SEN for two additional years + 2 eVouchers + 4 trips in totally unflexible Z + about 118000 bonus miles that, together with the PPB points, will upgrade less than half of these 4 Z roundtrips.

So, for 2000 EUR less(!) money, I'm always and more flexible in award F instead of Z, and I even get 2 more eVouchers.

----> good deal to pay the 2000 EUR.

@ flysurfer: I didn't get that really. Where does in sample 1 the 4 flex awards in F come from? Quite same in sample 2: 4 x Z?

What is what in this calculation

I assume that the 4k you count as 2 years status extension and the 4x1k as "promo miles" !?

Besides that you can extend the SEN status only once & for 1 year (without vouchers) afaik, but I´m always willing to learn something new here

First you say I get no eVouchers, now you say I can only extend once with $$$... You are making up stuff as you go, so I guess YOU MUST BE WORKING FOR LH!

Sure, that's the maximum price of 4 award tickets in F.
