Reading from the US press - my impression was that since Friday 27th the rules in general have changed in your sport

Cheers

Are you referring to Tiger Schniedelwoods?

That's an unfair, albeit hilarious generalisation.

There is a lengthy discussion on him:

Paul Potts (winner of Britain's got talent) in the SWISS Business Lounge

He was picked up by some lady and probably brought to the ZRH-LHR flight (I believe LX325?

Peter Malanik (CEO of Austrian - now German - Airlines) in the SEN Lounge (C-Gates) at VIE.

After being welcomed by the Lounge-Staff with a hearty "what a pleasure having you as our guest" (only heard this before myself in the SQ-Lounge at ICN) he settled down in the Lounge with his baby-kid.

Playing around with his kid awaiting the arrival of his wife to the Lounge he did not seem to go through the "Valley of Tears"...

(as mentioned in the latest "Der Standard" newspaper-interview dated 27 December 2009, caused by the fact that more than 1.000 OS-staff will have to be laid off in the near future; in German language only:

...at least that day...

Danke!

I missed that interview (was on holiday on 27.12. and not reading newspapers that much) but it was an interesting read nonetheless. I've met Herrn Malanik a few times and he seems like the right person to lead AUA but only time will tell.

On the first day after Lufthansa took ownership, I flew AUA from JFK to VIE. Nothing had really started to change but everyone (cabin crew, etc.) was talking about it of course.
