Peter Malanik (CEO of Austrian - now German - Airlines) in the SEN Lounge (C-Gates) at VIE.
After being welcomed by the Lounge-Staff with a hearty "what a pleasure having you as our guest" (only heard this before myself in the SQ-Lounge at ICN) he settled down in the Lounge with his baby-kid.
Playing around with his kid awaiting the arrival of his wife to the Lounge he did not seem to go through the "Valley of Tears"...
(as mentioned in the latest "Der Standard" newspaper-interview dated 27 December 2009, caused by the fact that more than 1.000 OS-staff will have to be laid off in the near future; in German language only:

I missed that interview (was on holiday on 27.12. and not reading newspapers that much) but it was an interesting read nonetheless. I've met Herrn Malanik a few times and he seems like the right person to lead AUA but only time will tell.
On the first day after Lufthansa took ownership, I flew AUA from JFK to VIE. Nothing had really started to change but everyone (cabin crew, etc.) was talking about it of course.
