Fun fact number two: coupons are lost.

Station manager is trying to reinstate me

edit: successfully. Snatched the last seat.

Curiously it seems that it's the LO265 that's the problem, the feeder shows C8Y9 availability. Looks like OS is successfully avoiding rebooking people on LO.

Hello,

Today I am flying BIO - FRA - STR
Last night I got an email from LH saying that FRA - STR was canceled. I don't think it's weather related since both airports seem fine.

Anyway, I was not rebooked and it is impossible to contact LH. I bought a train ticket instead from FRA to Stuttgart. I assume I will be able to get a refund for this train's ticket from LH, right?
Also, do I have a case of EU 261?

Thank you

Well, it really depends on the reason why your flight was cancelled. If weather related you are not entitled to compensation.

Yes, LH should reimburse the train ticket (even if the cancellation is weather related). You request reimbursement on the LH webpage and be patient.

Thank you. I thought it was not weather related, but now I see that FRA just announced that due to weather there might be cancellations today, so I guess I have no case

MUC had freezing fog this morning, causing a few diversions. QR & EK had similar issues at deicing and abandoned their departures last night. Freezing rain expected tomorrow morning. Fun times!

And it just started snowing in FRA with visibility heavily reduced. Two hours delay to my Air Dolomiti flight and counting.

A friend got caught up in the MUC cancellations and the rebooking process is not easy at all. The chatbot just keeps throwing a technical error, and the LH call centre has an automated message to call back later.

Would he have better luck in MIA airport, are there LH agents there that can rebook him? Any other advice is very welcome.

If your friend is stuck in MUC, how would he have better luck in MIA? (I dont' get why you think MIA would be able to assist)

Poor wording...he is in the US now, and was supposed to fly on a separate ticket FLL-BOS and then BOS-MUC-CLJ today. BOS-MUC got cancelled, and we're trying to contact LH so he could get rebooked from MIA instead...but we cannot get a hold of LH at the moment. Was wondering if there are LH agents at MIA that could rebook him.

It is unlikely that he will be rebooked from MIA, as BOS-MIA is more than 250 miles, not to mention that the availability from MIA may be very poor.

Try one of these numbers: Lufthansa Phone Numbers

The German SEN line is picking up (for now).

I agree. Extremely unlikely. If your friend has the time it might be worth a shot to go to MIA to try to talk to LH staff, but they may not be prepared to touch a ticket ex BOS. Most likely MIA staff will refer your friend to call LH or use the chatbot...

Thanks, not like BOS has better availability.

Unfortunately, neither of us is SEN, and the normal number just throws a prerecorded message.

Ive been rebooked from MUC-BHX (today) to a mixed ZMU-FRA-BHX tomorrow. Is the train section able to be taken on an earlier train? Or do you have to stick to the itinerary given? Given there are still lots of delays Id like to be able to ensure I can make the connection at Frankfurt.

the chatbot has been rubbish.
