And some Hainan interior 787s stay in LH as well, I think?

So I’m sure we all have our own ‘opinions’ on Non Stop Dan, but at least he’s drawing attention to the bonkers situation with Allegris on the 747-8i. I’ve had a couple of friends now message me with a link to this video asking what’s going on.

It will be depressing to see old alongside new on the very same plane, but there will be old and new scattered across different types of planes for years. Eventually the 747-8s will get retired, and the whole fleet will move on.

Is there any plan for SN to get a new J cabin as part of all this or will they just keep what they have?

As you can see from the screenshot below, pictures of the Allegris Privacy Seats are shown. I think this might be a bug of the LH website seatmap, as for the return flight also 3 rows of "Business Privacy Seats" displayed this morning, which by now have disappeared. It would also contradict previous reports that only main deck C seats are planned to be upgraded and not upper deck seats. In addition, it would be hard to imagine how 4 Allegris privacy seats per row could fit on the upper deck.

Why is having two windows "magnificent"? You can't even look through both at the same time, and in any case I think most Y window seats have a view through two windows. I think whoever writes those seat and lounge descriptions is on some kind of drugs.

Isn't OS getting 787s from Bamboo too?

Or maybe too much programming to get all possible iterations displayed in the UI?

You mean like A/B testing? That would make sense...

German magazine Stern is covering Allegris today in an article called the never-ending story - not the type of PR LH was hoping for....

Not sure if this video has been shared here yet or not (I'm not finding it), but it includes more details about the "Suite Plus" than I have seen yet:

Will they install first class or business class on the upper deck of the 747-8?

FYI: invitation-only launch event for A350 Allegris being held at LH Hangar Munich Airport this Thursday morning, to be followed by special inaugural flight MUC-FRA on Friday morning.

Last I heard from LH was that business would remain on the upper deck while bespoke Allegris 747 First suites (not the same as the A350/B777 suites) would be installed in the nose of the main deck.
