Once Plusgrade runs on LH, will it continue to "try" and upgrade me, or once it has denied me, it is done?

I don't understand the "illegal" aspect.
Because if the flight is cancelled then you must be rebooked in the same class of travel. It doesn't matter if it was miles, cash, vouchers, Plusgrade etc. This is the basic tenant of Regulation 261/2004 and has been backed by the Courts countless times. Therefore, to not rebook you in the same class of travel on the new flights is illegal.

It would be a straightforward claim to sue for the new flights if you needed to.

It's not like where the flight is operating but you're downgraded, which would be subject to the downgrade recalculation (perhaps better to take the upgrade refund). I've not faced that situation before.

Plusgrade will make several attempts, starting roughly 72 hours before departure. You will receive an e-mail after each attempt. I have had some upgrades initially declined then go through on the second or third attempt.

Is there any benefit in bidding for an upgrade a month or two out from the flight, or should you just wait until the last week or so, considering bids aren’t looked at until T72?

99% sure the websites say it doesn't matter at all when you submit the bid. Better off waiting imo. Someone else with more experience can validate though.

Is there a way to find out which booking class a bid upgrade would go into from economy to PE?

I have a ticket that was booked with Amex travel going BRU-EWR (with United and a UA flight number) and returning JFK-BRU (with SN and an SN flight number). The ticket is a UA one (016 #). Both legs are in premium economy.

I upgraded the outbound flight to business using $ and miles from my United ff account (my UA# is in the reservation). I am now trying to upgrade my return flight on SN. On the SN site, when trying to see details, it doesn't show the option to pay upfront for the upgrade. At the top of the page there's a rectangle advertising "get upgraded" and "make an offer" to get upgraded to business class. When I press it, the page says in the "upgrade type" column "not eligible for upgrade" and the box to the right for the bid is grayed out.

Anything I could do to change any of this and get an upgrade?

No bidding/offer if it’s plated on 016 stock.

LH accepted my offer of 70E for the MUC-WAW (Eco to Biz) flight 3 days prior to departure. Taking into consideration a very good service onboard and a decent catering plus lounge access in MUC I am happy that it worked out

The minimum bid was set at 65E, flight was a fully booked A319 and the instant upgrade option was at 100E.

Flying FRA-SFO in a few days' time, on the 747-8 (hopefully).
Put in an offer of $270 (USD) to UG from Y to Y+.
What do y'all think?
