Lufthansa in Winter 2015/16 season plans to switch operational aircraft on Frankfurt – Detroit route, which sees Boeing 747-400 operating from 25OCT15, replacing A340-600. First Class service will be cancelled as the 747 is configured in Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

Lufthansa in Winter 2015/16 season is adding (including resuming) 3 holiday routes, on board High Density 3-class Airbus A340-300 aircraft. From December 2015, the airline will operate seasonal service to Male, Mauritius and Cancun, twice weekly each.

The High Density 3-class Airbus A340-300 features configuration of C18E19M261. In the updated GDS display, Lufthansa is now displaying these A340-300 aircraft will be owned and operated by Lufthansa CityLine, with Lufthansa cabin crew.

Lufthansa has revised planned Middle East Operations for service in Summer 2015 season. From 29MAR15, service to Muscat will be operated via Doha, replacing Abu Dhabi; Bahrain service will be operated via Riyadh, replacing Doha. Service to Riyadh as a result will no longer be a terminator service.
