TF was back in action a few days ago flying to IKA and DEN. DEN and BOM appear to be black spots for new F.

My bet is VW will go for retrofit this month and TF will get parked/stored/scrapped when its back.

I thought they weren't going to retrofit any more 744 with new F since some would be turned into two-class machines. However, it does make sense for all operating 744s to have new F, so it won't be a lottery whether you get new F or not.

Flew FRAORD yesterday on a converted 744; Granted I can't boast about flying on an A380 or 748 but the setup of a seperate seat and a full bed is a definite plus over just having a flatbed seat. I have to say the AVOD selection was less than spectacular (very few movie choices) but to tell you the truth the service and LH experience in general for F passengers surely makes up for it.

Hopefully!

Can anyone confirm that? Has a retirement date for D-ABTF been mentioned anywhere?

I'm also wondering about the status of D-ABVE which seems to be temporarily parked only.

Looks like they pushed back the two class 747 until 2014 ^

By then they will have changed there minds approximately 17 times.

Some more infos for the first post:

D-ABVC will leave the fleet next month.

Not longer active:

D-ABTH, D-ABTE, D-ABTD, D-ABVD, D-ABVE

Probably this push back has to do with 748i deliveries.

I would bet on the C-Class retrofit and tight maintenance slots

Is there a way to determine if an upcoming flight is configured with the new F (A340-600) by the seat map (F is 8 seats across the board, but perhaps by the Biz of Eco cabin layout?)

I'm considering a NRT-MUC flight in April.

Thanks!

There are no indications on the seat map, so at this point you're just playing the numbers unfortunately...

At least (currently) a 61.5% chance of new F
