To get miles, or not to get? That is the question...
I flew TACA in February from LAX/SJO/LAX...a total of about 5400 r/t. I had my AAdvantage number in the PNR, but never got miles. I submitted my boarding passes, etc. via fax like instructed. I waited nearly a month and faxed twice again in between. I finally got a card from AA yesterday explaining to me how "unhappy" they were to inform me that my trip was not eligible for miles.
Apparently I flew in "L" class, which is not eligible. How the heck do you know when you book it? I'm booked to fly the same itinerary next week and I can't seem to find the fare class any where in my record. The res number begins with an "H" if that helps. Any suggestions? I e-mailed TACA but have not yet received a response. Thanks!

If in doubt, or it if it doesn't show up w an online booking, just call and ask, 'what COS am i booked in?' The agent should understand the terminology and be able to provide the details.
No problema!

Thanks tvl4free! I understand I can always call them, but it would be so nice if they showed it on-line for us lazy people!
However, you did enlighten me and I do appreciate that.
My res looks like this and shows no class of service
:
Date: 21APR - THU Airline: LACSA
Flight: 0603 Meal: R
Departure: 23:55 Arrival: 06:40
Cabin: Economy Flight Time: 5.42
Miles Flown: 2731 Stops on route: 00
Status: CONFIRMED
BTW, TACA did get back to me after I posted (sorry, I should have followed up!) and apparently I'm not eligible for AA miles tomorrow either! So I signed up for TACA's FF program and got the miles from last February applied to my account as will the miles I fly this weekend! ^
