Baggage allowance for OWS on internal Chile flight and basic fare

From both Latam's and OW's website, I seem to understand that a OWS would be entitled to a free checked bag of up to 23 Kg, even on a fare that does not include luggage.

Could anyone confirm if it's correct?

"Manage My Booking" on the LATAM Chile site gives me 1 baggage allowance because I am "Socio Elite". I have a AA OWS FF# in the booking.

The same fare for a non-status companion (on a separate PNR, of course) shows no baggage allowance, so I guess it is a OWS perk.

I've just made a booking and added our BAEC numbers as part of the booking process, but I cannot see anywhere a reference to an increased baggage allowance...

Does accessing "Mis Viajes" not show the appropriate allowance?
This is what it shows for me, after I open the PNR & click "Agrega Maletas":
(This is a 1-bag fare though showing a 2-bag allowance, I don't have a Light booking right now)

Unfortunately I don't get an "Agrega Maletas" link when I access the PNR via "Mis Viajes".

I can go to an "Agrega Maletas" page. The page fails to load fully, but I can see this in the background. I know it means "you can carry up to 23 kg per suitcase" but it's not clear if it implies that one suitcase is included. It doesn't look like it.

The fact that Cargando never goes away and it takes me back to the previous screen would suggest that there is something odd going on.

How good are they at giving assistance on Social Media?

There seems to be an issue with LATAM's IT then (what a surprise ) but try social media, they should be able to sort things rather quickly (or at least tell you the correct luggage allowance). Good luck!

That's what I ended up doing earlier today. They confirmed I should have one suitcase for free thanks to my BA status.

They also apologised for the IT issue and said I should be able to buy extra luggage over the phone. They actually offered to call me, but I'm no hurry.
