Changes:
- In April, 2016, LATAM announced new loyalty programmes.
- LANPASS and TAM Fidelidade changed to LATAM Pass (kms based) and LATAM Fidelidade (points based), which eventually will merge into one system.
- New categories: Black Signature (OW Emerald), Black (OW Emerald), Platinum (OW Sapphire), Gold (OW Ruby) and LATAM (no status).
- LATAM Pass adopted a revenue-based model, introducing Elite Qualifying Dollars, following world-wide tendencies (except LATAM Colombia).

Routes changes:
2016:
- New routes: EZE-BOG, GRU-JNB, GRU-MXP, LIM-CTG, LIM-BCN, LIM-EZE, LIM-JAE, MDZ-LIM, SCL-LAX, SCL-LPB, and SCL-MCO.
- Increased routes: EZE-MIA, SCL-JFK, LIM-IAD, LIM-MIA, LIM-MVD, LIM-ROS, and UIO-LIM.
- Cancelled routes: ASU-AGT, BSB-PUJ, GRU-AGT, GRU-JFK, GRU-YYZ, and all Venezuelan routes.
LATAM Argentina will transfer its SCL flights back to AEP from EZE (eff. 01/01/17). LATAM Argentina will transfer one of its GRU flights back to AEP from EZE (eff. 01/02/17). LATAM will operate up to 4 daily flights in the AEP-GRU and AEP-SCL routes.

SCL-GRU-TLV will launch on December 12, three times per week. Flight time between GRU and TLV will be only 11 hours. Interestingly, when LY operated the route, flight time was three hours and a half longer apparently because it did not fly over certain African countries.

Aircrafts in route LIM - MAD from OCT 2019: Only B787
I've been searching (latam and expertflyer) for aircrafts used in that route in flight LA2484 in many days from now until june 2019.
B767 will be used until 30th September. From then on, B787.
So, the outstanding and so much publicized new business class for the Peruvian branch won't be used in such 'important' route.

There's one upside - the seat when laying down is longer on the 777. Both the JJ A350's & LA 787's have a virtually identical hard product & they are both SHORT. I'm 6'3" (191cm) & the new lay flat product on the A350 & 787-8/9 is too short to lay flat without bending my knees. This isn't a problem on JJ's older 767 & 777 fitouts.
