Spare Ribs in Las Vegas

Hi

Can anyone recommend good places for Spare Ribs in Las Vegas - near the Belliagio and also the Venetian.

Thanks

Unfortunately there are no good BBQ places on the strip(near the hotels you are looking at.
There is a very good BBQ place at the newly opened Red Rock resort. And I love Big Mommas. Both of these are way off the strip however.

Not good ribs but if you must find ribs near Bellagio/Venetian the closest in my experience would be Cravings Buffet at Mirage. Pork ribs with lots of generic BBQ sauce.

Tony Roma's near Fremont Street is about all I can think of.

How about the BBQ at Ellis Island (behind Ballys).

Excellent value for chicken and ribs, but the casino itself is a dive

You posted the same request for Orlando

Better add Dallas to the itinerary for decent BBQ

EDIT: Lucille's at The District at Green Valley Ranch is now our favourite. Wow...this is an outdated post...

Off the strip, but go to Memphis Championship BBQ...vs. Famous Dave's, Tony Romas, and Salt Lick BBQ (Red Rock & other Station casinos), its the current favourite for both my wife and I.

...LOL...I don't even like Memphis anymore. Yuck! Go to Lucille's for good BBQ in Vegas!!

Bite the bullet and take a taxi to Green Valley Ranch Casino...it is a great place to hang out and is a locals' favorite. Right next door, at The District (a nice outdoor shopping area with great restaurants and bars and shopping and special events like free concerts) is Lucille's BBQ...and it is VERY good!

Let me echo DMark's comments. Lucille's is excellent! I don't eat pork, but the beef ribs and barbecued chicken are also great. Not particularly close to the Bellagio or Venetian, but hopefully you'll win one of those cars on top of the slots to get there.

GVR has a shuttle to Mandalay Bay which might help you save a few dollars. A taxi will cost about $25.00 each way. If you add $50.00 to the price of your planned BBQ rib dinner you might as well stay on the strip and eat steak!

I didn't know about the shuttle! Thanks for the info...but regarding the price of the ribs, might I add that the portions are huge, so splitting one full rack (about $27 and includes two sides) is pretty normal there. I don't think I could eat a whole rack unless I was really, really hungry...and they also have great desserts, so you might want so save some room for that as well.

Well, my wife and I tried Lucilles for the first time last night. It was VERY good...definitely the best BBQ in Vegas that I've had so far. Easily beats Tony Romas, Salt Lick, Famous Daves, and Memphis Championship BBQ, hands down!!

Good (non-hotel) Italian Restaurant in Vegas?

I am looking for a great Italian restaurant in Vegas to host an 80th birthday party for my mother. I would prefer it not to be in one of the hotels. Would be for approx. 30 people. Any suggestions?

THANK YOU!!!

Hi Veronica.you don't tell us a lot about what you are looking for.
If you want good everyday Italian in a nice setting might I suggest Maggianos
They have a location in Fashion show Mall .
Nice menu,not too expensive.
The other place I really like is Cafe Chloe. This is a locals only place on Buffalo.Huge portions of very good food.It is not vey fancy and only seats around 50 diners-so your party would take up most of the restaurant.
