Well, how I wish I had read this site prior to going to Vegas last week. My wife & I love the Cirque shows, Zumanity not to my taste, but it was Cirque.
We saw the Believe production on the 21st November, thankfully we did not pay top $ for our seats. What a disappointment, first time ever with Cirque. Angel was in my opinion, Crap! No Cirque show should revolve around one man, what happens if he is ill?
The show did not work, we felt like leaving mid way, some did with children. I guess they may have been frightened! It was the best part when we left the theatre. Angel made sad comments about David Copperfield, we saw him at the MGM the night before, what a show, what a true star. Angel cannot stand in Copperfields shoes, a far superior show all round.
Cirque I feel may catch a cold with this one, they could save face if the plug is pulled now, but I guess they will plod on.
So please, anyone reading this blog, do not waste your hard earned cash on this show, I saw KA for the second time prior to the Copperfield show, what a difference, a great production. Believe a non starter, do not go there!!!!!!!!

Awful awful awful

Saw this show 22nd November. We saw "O" two nights previous and it was FANTASTIC!!! so I was really looking forward to seeing Believe...

As you can tell from the title it was pretty bad. Everything they've been saying is true and then some. I thought every part of the show was terrible. The illusions were transparent and obvious, not to mention boring, and the Cirque portion of it was pretty bad as well. All it was was dancing; that is not what Cirque is... I will say that the costumes were pretty impressive, though.

We wasted way too much time and money (we had great seats at 169 a pop) and our group of 5 wanted to leave after 20 minutes (too bad we didn't communicate this with each other - would have saved a lot of time and agony!). It was one of those things that you just kept thinking, this HAS to get better, there's NO WAY it can be this bad... but it just never did.

Criss Angel sucks, can't act, his magic is pretty awful and he is SO ANNOYING... yes he is nice to look at (if you're into that tragically hip/punk thing... and even if you're not, at least he has his shirt off most of the show - that part being directed toward the ladies ;) ) but he was terrible overall.

Don't waste your time or your money... there are a million other fantastic shows in Vegas. Cirque is destroying their reputation with this one.

When does the promotion (in terms of the last date that the promotion is on, not the last date of the show one can get the the promo rate) expire?

We will be able in Las Vegas from Jan 1 through to Jan 5. The question is whether I should buy these tickets at 25% off, or try a ticket discounter on the day of the show for 50% off.

FlyerGoldII Jan 6, 2009 6:01 pm

I was in Las Vegas last few nights. At least for Sat Jan 3 and Sun Jan 4, the ticket discounter gave a rate of $112.50 plus their handling fee of $5 (which can be discounted by $2 - with a discount coupon).

Therefore, the ticket price through the discounter was marginally less than the discounted rate through the web site.

Just booked two tickets for Zumanity. One of my coworkers booked two tickets to both Ka and Mystere. ^

My wife and I have seen Mystere, Ka, and Love, and we've been waiting for discounted Zumanity tickets. Now, if they'd just offer $50 tickets for "O." :)

I am headed back to Vegas at the end of May. I noticed that this promotion seems to be extended a month or so at a time. Are there better deals out there now that there are fewer Vegas visitors or am I better off sticking with this deal once it gets extended to May?
Thanks!

I would wait and try to buy them from Tix4Tonight unless you absolutely have to see the show while you're out there - seems to be pretty easy to get tix for 35-50% off, rather than the 25% the Mirage is offering.

Thanks.

Any location recommended more than others or do they have the same access to tix across the locations? We'll be staying at theHotel, so the ones near the South end of the strip would be where I would go.

Is this like TKTS here in NY where only same day tix are available that morning? (starting when?)

The latter, I'm sure. I don't know if crowds vary at each location, but I think you'd be better off showing up early to the one next to the MGM Grand.

The one next to MGM is the easiest to find; right behind (inside of) the giant coca cola bottle! Enjoy your show!

Thanks for all the info, all!

Ka Cirque Du Soleil

Quick Question here

Between the 730 shows and the 930 shows, is there a difference? Will they be more tired after the first show etc?

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 3:34 am.
