tkts4tonight, Does get tkts for CdC not everyday and not every show. That said Do Not expect 1/2 price tkts as for all other shows. There are at a discount anywhere from 10-25% off usually closer to the 10%.

If they get any, they dont get many and needless to say they can get them at any time during the day but youd want to one of the 1st when they open their doors. If there are any large or alot of small shows/conventions in town forget about it

Newest Cirque du Soleil Show
 

Anybody seen the newest Cirque du Soleil show at the MGM (I think it's called Ka)? I've seen O and Mystere and was thinking of taking my wife to see this one in October if it's worth doing. Any other thoughts on shows? I've seen all the biggies (Celine, the older Cirque shows, etc.) and even some of the not so biggies.

IMO Mystere is similar to all the other older Cirque shows. That being said I feel KA is much better but just not as good as O. The KA stage/auditorium is quite spectacular.

Regardless, good competition for Bellagio.

Cirque du Soleil "O" - Ticket Bookings
 

I will be staying at the Bellagio and would like to watch the Cirque du Soleil "O" . Should I book the tickets online (way inadvance) or would the hotel concierge be able to secure better seats ?

The advantage of booking online is that I am able to view the seats offered. Booking through the hotel concierge would involve long distance international telephone call and I wont even know the seat assignment until I get there.

Please advise.

When I saw this show a few years ago, a friend booked the tickets for us online. We had seats in the front row, right in the center. The show was excellent but I almost think that we were too low and too close to the stage. If I were you I think I would reserve the tickets online.

Bellagio hotel guests have access to a special block of tickets that can only be booked with the Bellagio concierge. They are the best seats in the house.

O tickets bookings open 3 months in advance. Good seats if you get in at the start of the 3 month booking period. The good seats go really fast. Go for section 10X instead of 20X if possible. Show sells out really early so do not wait to get to the hotel then try to get tickets.

Its a big show so most seats are fine. Just remember to arrive at your seat about 20 mins before the start time if you do not want to run the risk of the clowns picking on you walking to your seat.

The only time I managed to get good tickets for O forgot to book really early was when the Superbowl was on. Being a Brit, I did not mind.

By the way, Ka tickets at the MGM Grand go on sale 4 months in advance.

You mention Concierge at the Bellagio.

The is a special Concierge for VIP clients.. is this the one you mean .. or are you saying the regular concierge desk at the hotel???

In any case, use the hotel facilities. As mentioned they have a good block for guests (and I think a better block for VIP guests).

I was there on business .. and had a Penthouse Suite for business use. That gave me VIP access. They are FABULOUS as was the suite!

The regular hotel concierge will help with O tickets for confirmed Bellagio Hotel guests. PS: If you cancel your room, they cancel your tickets!

Cirque Du Soleil Beatles Love
 

Ok ok another CDS post, i've seen most of the others but didn't have a chance to see the Beatles Love one at the Mirage, anyone seen it and what did they think?

It was very acrobatic. I loved the special effects. The music was haunting. I laughed, I cried.

(Feel free to copy/paste this into any critique of any CDS show on the planet. And no, I haven't seen Beatles Love yet.) :D :D :D

Wasn't there a thread about this somewhere (maybe OMNI?).

So anyways, a co-worker went and saw it a few weeks ago and said it was the best CDS in Vegas. She even saw it again the next night. I have some other friends going to see it this weekend.
