I'd be willing to bet that it's not even in Vegas, am I right?

Two trips ago, I got dragged to Caesar's against my will and the 6:5 tables outnumbered regular blackjack tables by at least 2:1.
And pretty much every seat was filled at the standard blackjack tables leaving openings only on the crapjack ones.

I recall over 20 years ago playing at one place downtown (Las Vegas Club?), that was supposed to have the most liberal BJ game in town. I played there once, but it didn't seem to make that much difference to me.
I used to know a guy who loved the 2-4 payout at the Binion that they had during the Christmas season, on low bets ($5-$10, I think).
I started playing BJ at the Western when I was 15 or so. <cough> $1 a hand, and the dealers they were training were pretty bad, so they'd give up 3-4% in mistaken pay/push bets per hour.

Sahara has a sign outside plugging $1 Blackajck.
Unfortunately, it's even worse than 6:5 Blackjack.....it's 5:5 Blackjack, paying even money on Blackjack. They had 4 or 5 of these tables off to one side of the pit area and they were pretty full..

I saw what looked like about an even mix of 3:2 and 6:5 tables at Mandalay Bay over the weekend. The 6:5 tables seemed generally as busy or busier than the 3:2 tables, perhaps because people were drawn to double-deck. As long as people are going to play, I think the casinos are going to keep the
games.
Incidentally, the 3:2 tables at Mandalay weren't too bad. At the constant-shuffle tables I played at, even though the dealer hit on soft 17, double any cards, surrender, and DAS were allowed. I also saw tables where the dealer stays on soft 17, but I didn't end up playing at those tables because the limits were higher, so I'm not sure what other rules those tables had.
