I agree that Paris has good strip access with multiple entrances.

Also agree that getting a scooter is a good idea......no matter where you stay in LV, there is no way to avoid long walks.

I'm on the other side of the scooter idea. With the number of people driving the strip while looking at the sights, I would never be there on a scooter. You can probably rent a car for the same money and valet parking is cheap and easy.

On the other topic, the Trump is nice and inexpensive but there is nothing to do on the property. If you are with a group, it is easier with on property options.

By the way, the West Wing at MGM offers easy strip walking access but the regular rooms are closer to the car valet.

Someone who has difficulty walking will not be comfortable walking to anything at all along the Strip. Everything is at least a moderately long walk from everything else. Stay at the Encore Tower Suites, which has a very short walk from porte cochere to elevators, and take a car to where you want to go.

I recommend the Paris as its a short distance to check-in and even shorter to the elevators.

You are looking at $159/night (average rate over weekday/weekend) straight from their website and then get the SPG points on top of that. And it looks like there are some specials that throw in the breakfast.

but also check all the popular websites for BBDs...

westin +1
even though their casino is tiny, the staff is actually quite friendly...!

Glad to see that somebody else suggested Encore Tower Suites. 8 rooms per floor means close to elevators and a short walk from private lobby to casino floor, LV Blvd, and elevators. I know its not center strip but north strip is a much more desirable location than center strip in 2010. In 2005 that was a different discussion but I much prefer the crowds, attractions, etc of north strip now.

Also, DavidO is the resident Virtuoso agent on FT. I've used him for multiple trips and have had nothing but AMAZING results. He came highly recommended from FT and did not disappoint. He can help you with MO/Encore/etc.

That's a great call. Paris check in and elevator are right by the main drop-off.

MO, Aria and the rest of the City Center project are mid-strip; I've found that the elevators to get access to the street are sometimes not working, and the escalators have been inoperative even more often. So if walking is a problem, you might rule out the CC.

Although at MO, if you take the elevator to the ground floor, you can make a short walk down the edge of the exit driveway to the Strip without having to negotiate any further stairs, escalators or elevators.

Consolidated Las Vegas For People Who Can't Walk Very Far Thread

This weekend our party stayed at the Doubletree Club at the south end of the airport tunnel for $42 on Hotwire, saving maybe $158-308/room/night. No walking at the hotel, no resort fee, free inernet, and when we go out we valet park. My SO has trouble walking, when we stay at a big casino-hotel we rent a scooter.

Some casinos have very little walking compared to others (valet parking distance == taxi entrance distance):

Easy Access - Very Little Walking To Visit (in approximate order of ease)

1. Wynn, if you self park;*
2. Mirage, if you valet park at the front entrance;
3. Casino Royale;
4. M, if you self park;
5. Palms, valet or self park;*
6. Rio, if you valet park;
7. TI, if you valet park;
8. Palazzo, if you self park;
9. Hard Rock, if you valet park.

*Rooms also are a short walk from the entrance as noted.

Do not attempt without a scooter:

1. Aria
2. Planet Hollywood
3. Bellagio
4. Caesars Palace
5. MGM Grand
6. Mandalay Bay
7. Luxor
8. Venetian
9. Paris

I might not understand the situation your describing, but here's my take on a few of the hotels on your "do not attempt without a scooter" list.

2. Planet Hollywood - The valet is in the back garage, leaving you just outside registration. You could go right up the escalator from there and you're in the middle of the casino. SELF parking there is a joke, making you go through the mall though. Don't know where elevator to room is if you stay.

3. Bellagio - Valet right up front. A few steps and your in their beautiful lobby, and a few more and you're in the atrium.

6. Mandalay Bay - Valet/Taxi can drop you off right in front, and if you're staying there the elevator is very close to the front door. Self park is out back though.

9. Paris - Valet very close to registration and the elevator is very close to that.

I stand corrected, and self parking at the Aria is reasonably close to the rooms and casino. It's the valet dropoff that's distant from everything.

You omitted Bally's (unless you don't consider it worthy of mentioning, but you did mention Casino Royale... )

I would put that in the Easy Access category, especially since there is also a side entrance on Flamingo.
