If you go with the scooter idea then you can add the Westin to the list of hotel choices. It a decent hotel, quick walk to room (its not that big a hotel/casino). Easy parking (surface or garage). Its about a 2 block skoot to the strip at Flamingo/LVB.

You are looking at $159/night (average rate over weekday/weekend) straight from their website and then get the SPG points on top of that. And it looks like there are some specials that throw in the breakfast.
