I've been flying SK the last few times, so have no recent experience, but officially KL pax ticketed in J use the much nicer Apartment lounge, whereas elites are stuck with the Novia lounge. However, I've been directed to the Apartment lounge quite a few times when traveling in Y. Once I asked, and was told it was because the Novia lounge was too crowded due remodeling or renovations in progress, if I remember correctly.

- in June/July 2013 I had been directed to the Novia lounge, on the left : it is a bad and crowded lounge as johan described
- since september 2013 I am directed to the CPH apartment, which is much nicer
I will fly today so can report.

Which is one of its major selling points. I actually rather like that lounge. For a short wait followed by a short flight, it is perfectly adequate.
The only times I've seen it "busy" (as in a quarter of the seats taken) is before departure of the daily Emirates flight.

The Apartment lounge was a haven of peace and quiet, the maximum number of guests at any time during my stay there was five, myself included, and we all sat quietly in various corners.
The number and selection of newspapers and magazines in this little lounge was easily ten times higher than what the huge Schengen CrownLounge offered a few hours later, and the food was much better too. I do not drink alcohol before I fly, so I cannot comment on the beverage selection, I never pay any attention to it.
The nextdoor Novia Louge is now called the Aviator Lounge, by the way. I didn't dare take a peek, but it must have resembled a primate zoo, what with all the passengers wanting to pay for the privilege of fighting each other over the meagre catering offering.

The seats in on the lower level with the view of tarmac are excellent!

I've never been there on a weekend, and when I visit on weekdays it is usually between 10 and 11h30. I don't think I've ever seen more than 10 people in that lounge at any one time.

I was there again last Wednesday, at the usual time. No more than 11 persons in the lounge at any time, myself included, but mostly far fewer. The lounge was a haven of peace and quiet, if any of the guests were talking to each other they must have whispered, 'cause I sure couldn't hear 'm.

I must say that I quite like that Apartment lounge.
Bright and airy with plenty of daylight; the catering, although not exactlyhaute cuisine, is perfectly adequate; a very wide selection of newspapers and magazines in different languages; books to peruse; generally not busy at the times I visit; and very quiet.
