KLM Over the Wing In-flight photos/videos

I saw a thread like this in another airline and thought we could inspire and daydream from sharing our photos. I searched for one already and didn't see any.

This thread is specifically for views of wings, engines and any background scenery, and views we often have have while gazing out the window.

Please remember, this thread is for scenic photos, not cabin interiors, seats, or for topics found elsewhere.

Hope this inspires you during your coffee break!

here is one of mine on one of the last MD11 flights from AMS-YYZ

Coincidentally also on the way to YYZ. 74M, PH-BFK. Taken from that lovely side galley it had. From my seat in 1A I could not verify the plane even had wings.

Good idea.

Here's a kind of wing view we won't see much anymore (taken right before Covid struck)

Bit of a challenge. I generally select a seat as far foward as possible (but avoiding the bulkhead on shorthauls planes), so I really have to crane my neck to squeeze engine and wing into the picture. Not only that, but I mostly intentionally keep aircraft parts out of the frame. Nevertheless, I should be able to scrounge up a few.

Noordzeekanaal, Zijkanaal B, Velserbroek, Driehuis, IJmuiden, Velsen Noord, Nationaal Park Zuid-Kennemerland - and a little bit of the engine cowling. Hello Polderbaan! Here I come!

Rare East arrival at HKIA. On the left, Hong Kong Island. On the right, Kowloon. The straight strip of land on the right is the location of the former Kai Tak airport

Somewhere above the clouds at sunset

An impossible photo to take anymore these days, from onboard an F70 on the way from NUE to AMS

A steep bank on the way to PRG

Approaching NUE

Blue skies with a few clouds somewhere

Dramatic clouds as we approach AMS

Just realized this thread wouldn’t be complete without a take-off view from KL’s most flown route(*): Krakow.

KRK take-off with the dawn mist glowing.

(*) according to a statistical analysis of airports mentions on FlyerTalk, KRK must have the frequentation of CDG+AMS+FRA combined

I generally try to keep the equipment out of these pictures. So a 'wingless' one somewhere around GVA:

Edit: Found one! Heavy bank during a CDG approach, showing three other flights around us.

Well done, I'm pissed off because last week, before this thread was created, I deleted all my pics taken to/from this mega FT hub .
So thank you very much for sharing.

Luckily we are only Sept 13th. It means there are still 17 Saturdays available to book extra KRK runs
