The last question.
were you flying to the country other then you live in when your luggage was delayed?

I also fond the information that also they give compensation only in case the luggage was delayed for more than 24h.
Was yours delayed for more than 24h?

Thanks in advance for the answer.

I have friends who flew US to Europe then connected to Rome via KLM. Their luggage was delayed. For the last 3 days they have been told that the courier has the luggage and will be "delivering it today" but they are still waiting. They were also told that they would have to sign for the luggage so this means that their plans have been completely altered to wait for the courier. Does anyone have any suggestions?
