Seriously, though - you should claim for the Lufthansa flights from a Star Alliance FFP - Lufthansa's own programme is not the best - and seek the ORC for your cancelled KLM flights from your Skyteam FFP

It seems SFO is always the destination where flight alterations (or cancellations) can be made when something is wrong with the 789 fleet.

Code:
 KL607/23AUG AMS-SFO (San Francisco) Booked: X
 KL608/23AUG SFO-AMS Booked: X
o Equipment change. Flight segments will be operated with a B777-200 instead of a B787 due to exceeding technical maintenance.
o New configuration is 34C/282M.
o Both flights are max saleable 34C/264M for crew reasons.

KL605 is operated with a B77W today instead of the usual B744, the resulting delay is insignificant though.

KL608 (departure 13SEP) is operated with a B772 and delayed by 2 hours.

Looks like SFO continues to be hit by aircraft changes. I'm scheduled to fly next week on said flights and am hoping to fly as booked on B744 and B789... We'll see.

Honestly, in Q1/Q2 of 2017 you might as well have had it unlisted, because I had more cancellations than not.

And yet, when I recently had a KLM ticket to SFO, it was the DUB-AMS part they cancelled

Is KLM the only airline to suffer such troubles at SFO, or is it more common with other airlines as well?

I don't think it's even that the issues occur in SFO. It's just that, when they are having fleet issues, they seem to favour sacrificing the SFO route. Whether it's because it's a particularly easy one for them to recover from, or whether there was some other reason to start with, by now it appears to be a habit.

We're down a 787? Then we must cancel SFO!!!!

I guess they needed the 744 for the extra flight to Curacao to bring the people back who were stuck on Sint Maarten.

I fly out of SFO: it's my home airport. I fly Delta, JetBlue, Virgin, and several others and none of them -- none! -- have this level of cancellations. It's extremely bad.

They're lucky I am such a sucker for KLM.

KL601 (I'm flying smarter: AMS-LAX-SFO) today got last minute equipment changed to a 777! I was supposed to have my 744, my absolute favorite...

any idea why Ralph? Or is just my eternal Holland-California luck.

There's no escape, eh?

Probably in 2.5 month a 789 AMS-SFO awaits me, I'm gonna start praying now ...
