On the way to/from DXB, last week i have been offered upgrades: unfortunately not on the main flights but only on the connections LIN-AMS and AMS-LIN for 199 euro each. Obviously no interest at all....

Did the gold member pay additional charges for a seat in Y? Let say you paid for a comfort economy seat when booking, this charge will be deducted when getting an upgrade offer. Because the Plat member does not pay for the comfort seat there is nothing to deduct, resulting in a higher offer.

(5 seats were free according to EF for LH flight)
Skipped the European upgrade, but took the longhaul, even though it was a daytime flight.
The Check-in opened 30 hours before the first flight (about 38 hours before second LH flight), but upgrade option was available for the second LH as well immediately as checkin had opened for the first flight.

ICN-AMS for my flight tonight - just two seats available and 1,339,000 KRW or 920 EUR (1,000 USD). SkyTeam Elite (Korean Air Morning Calm). Obviously passed haha. Xanax will take care of me!

AMS-DAR W to J 499 euro. Only started to show a few hours before departure. When going to the seatmap all seat showed as available but none were. Even after restarting the app
