from SFO, having an upgrade for under $700 is a very good deal.

Yes, I was surprised at a lower amount than expected. We were also on award tickets in Premium Economy, so I wasn't even sure if an upgrade would be offered.

An AF flight, not KL:
AUH-CDG W to J. Award ticket 2 adults 2 children €349 or 49900 miles per persoon.
Not bad for someone who has NDPU behind his name.
Or does my spouse’s Plat status, who does not have NDPU overrule it?
Or don’t AF and KL share that as I know I have that remark with KL.

I have not seen an offer for over half a year, which is approximately 15-25 KL long haul flights ago. So happy to see a good one again. Did not take it as we would be spread out over the cabin and with a 2 and 5 year old, that is not ideal.

Got the same offer €349 last December, while at the desk (EY check-in) a "special offer" of €699 was offered......
At the time 6 C open btw.

Does KLM offer upgrades at the gate? I am flying next week CLE-JFK (Delta connection)-AMS(KLM)-BHX(KLM). I bought my ticket through delta.com.

Perhaps I should try to check-in through the KLM website.

You can ask at the gate, they should be able to offer you something if there's space. But I haven't heard of the gate offer being better than OLCI offer.
