One more year is great, never-ending points (no expiration) would be best though.

I too would like to see double points for gas purchases, and even tried to upgrade to a business amex, but apparently you must open a new account to make that happen.

Hi Dan6681,
As long as you buy JetBlue travel using your Card BEFORE your points are set to expire, they will extend for another year. The same holds true if you spend enough on the card to earn at least one TrueBlue point BEFORE your points are set to expire.... $200 spend = 1 TrueBlue point. OR you can spend $100 total in any combination of the double points categories, because that gets you 200 Award Dollars, which gets you one TrueBlue point.

Hi Adambisi,
It can be a bunch of $20-50 purchases - as long as you reach $200 total before your points expire.
So... let's see... that would be a couple of dinners and a movie over 3 months, right? Because with dinners and movies, you get double Award Dollars for every purchase!

This is such great news! I was worried that I wouldn't see another trueBlue flight for a very long time after using up the points from my AmEx bonus (I tend to do just enough flying/spending to get 100 points every 1.25 or 1.5 years, and now, those will end up becoming flights). I was half considering canceling the card after this year because I wouldn't likely be able to make the necessary number of points, but I'll definately keep with it. Thanks again jetBlue!

Wow, I'm impressed. A major improvement in TrueBlue and a representative of the program here on FT. Welcome, JennyD!!

This change makes TrueBlue a viable option for many of us who only fly JetBlue's city pairs infrequently. I'm an inveterate churner of credit cards for bonus miles, but with this policy my JetBlue Amex card is a keeper.

I'm curious: is Amex contributing financially to this new policy? Or is JetBlue bearing the entire cost (by keeping the points alive for redemption) while Amex gets the entire benefit (more card usage and more annual fees from renewals)?

Unfortunately, the TrueBlue program still s***s for those who don't have and/or don't want an Amex card.

Well there are other frequent flyer programs out there that may fit their needs... TrueBlue was, I think, designed to reward those that fly jetBlue alot and not those that fly once every three year with a particular airline for a family vacation. So if your not happy with trueBlue, theres still other programs out there. TrueBlue is not for everyone, but for me and many others its a AWESOME program, with or without expiration of points... Either way it was alot better than back in the days when there was no trueBlue and people still fly them frequently because they loved the service.
