Row 1 on Transcon
Has anyone here been successful at the airport, asking for and receiving row 1 on transcons? JetBlue reserves them for airport assignment only and on my JFK-MCO/RSW flights I always get it. Just wondering how hard it is to get transcon.
Thanks!
Thanks!

hey thanks Skater!
I love Row 1. I don't know why, and its not just the extra legroom. Usually when I check in they just assign it to me now (no joke) but never took B6 transcon and was wondering if usually they are requested or taken. One on flight the ticket counter agent said no, once in the gate area at JFK i went to the C.S. desk "seat assignement desk" and I asked and she did it, no questions ask.
Thanks!

I flying Jetblue for the first time on Ffriday from PBI-JFK. I plan to get to the airport early since I am not familiar on how long it will take to get through the security line for Concourse B. Does anyone have eny idea on this? (I usually from out of COncourse C (where Jetblue USED to be located)
When I check in, I will request Row 1 and hopefully it will be available.
ROW ONE....HERE I COME!!!!

Row one is usually reserved for any special needs customers - anyone seated in row one may be asked to move up to one hour before departure to accomodate special needs customers. Of course, this may vary from airport to airport, but a good guideline to follow.

If you flight is before 9 am I would suggest getting to the airport between 90-120 minutes before your flight. The TSA idiots that work Concourse B require that ALL passengers take shoes off, (including flip flops) and give anyone who doesn't automatic secondary screening. Ergo, it is a very slow process.

BlueCrew.. I know thats the case, but I'm suprised that at JFK they don't follow that rule. On my JFK-RSW I asked for and recevied Row 1. I noticed many special needs people and they were all brought to the rear of the plane. I was sure I would be asked to move, but was't.

Im not a huge fan of Row 1. frankly there's less legroom due to the bulkhead wall. the one benefit is your off the plane first, but I'd rather ask for the exit row, which has a ton of room to move and the TV is on a seatback and can adjust as opposed to the bulkhead wall....

I was in a row 1 aisle seat OAK-JFK yesterday. The flight was great, even though there was a baby in my row who cried loudly from time to time. I got the seat at the check-in desk, about 1h10min before departure. I asked first for an exit row seat but those were all gone.
