JetBlue Points Redemption with Infant

My wife and I will be traveling, with our infant son, this summer to a destination in the caribbean. This will be the first time we ever flew with him. I am more than likely going to book our tickets using TrueBlue points. The baby will be under one year old at the time of flight. Will I need to pay for my infant son via points even though he will be a lap child? How exactly does it work? Thank you

(I have mosaic status of that has any bearing)

Point Redemption Question

There will be 8 of us traveling on a flight this summer that I wish to book with TrueBlue points. Right now I have enough points to book myself and 5 others tickets. I will more than likely have enough points for the other two people about one month later.

my question is, can if I book 6 tickets now, which includes myself (who has all of the award miles), next month am I able to book the two others tickets using my miles in a separate reservation? Im not sure if Im allowed to book tickets for others with my miles or if I must always be in a reservation when award miles are being used. If I am able to, I also would like to know that there is no fees for booking the tickets for these other two people. Thank you

You should just get charged for the two seats if you selected infant when booking. If you add them as a child/adult, then the booking system assumes 3 seats are required.

I will just add as a PSA that I would always recommend buying a seat for an infant. Then you can put the infant in a child seat and strap them down. It keeps them contained and safe in the case of unexpected turbulence. Plus I would not trust a car seat to be safe after being tossed around by baggage handlers. They're just doing their job, but they won't treat a car seat as gingerly as it should be.

You will be able to book flights for others with your own TrueBlue points without issue. Note that if you are Mosaic, your benefits will not carry over to others if you are not on the reservation, or if you book yourself on the reservation and later split the PNR (this will get eyes on your account). You will pay the standard fees (I think it's $5.60) per direction per passenger.
