I am more than likely going to book our tickets using TrueBlue points. The baby will be under one year old at the time of flight. You should just get charged for the two seats if you selected infant when booking. If you add them as a child/adult, then the booking system assumes 3 seats are required.
I will just add as a PSA that I would always recommend buying a seat for an infant. Then you can put the infant in a child seat and strap them down. It keeps them contained and safe in the case of unexpected turbulence. Plus I would not trust a car seat to be safe after being tossed around by baggage handlers. They're just doing their job, but they won't treat a car seat as gingerly as it should be.
