Howdy, all. We live about 10 minutes away from BJC. Im thinking of buying flights on JSX from BJC to LAS in November. We would have a 6 hour layover in LAS and then get on an international flight to Europe.
Pros: quick ride to BJC, relatively comparable flight cost, new experience (havent flown out of BJC since I was little and my dad had his own Cessna).
Cons: if they cancel or are significantly delayed, we will have to scramble fast, plus well have to get from the hangar in LAS to the terminal and go through security again there.
Crazy or Sane? Looking for honest opinions, no flames please.

I would not risk it same day. Even if everything was on time, it's a schlep to get to the main terminal. You have to get a taxi or a rideshare. JSX also has no alternatives so something goes mechanical, you may not even fly that day.
If you really want to try it then I highly recommend you book a backup flight with a main carrier.

I absolutely would not chance that. As you've already noticed there will be limited backup options if something goes pear shaped. If I was just going to Las Vegas I'd be fine with it but not when international travel is concerned.

Disappointed to see that JSX is now charging for advance seat reservations for all seats. The nickel-and-dime approach is more what I would expect from ULCCs like Spirit and not a carrier selling a premium experience at $200+ for a 1-hour flight. And most legacy airlines offer a smattering of free seat assignments at time of rez, at least until they are taken.

Austin to Dallas experience?
Looking to fly from Austin to Dallas and this showed up as an option via JetBlue. Looks kind of promising - just wondering if anyone has any experience with the boarding process at these airports. I would be ride sharing from my hotels
