Interesting. FlightRadar24 shows it going to NZC, which is the old Naval Air Station code for the airport, but has since been reassigned to Nazca, Peru. So, it looks like this was intentionally filed to fly there. Flight 6427 is a maintenance flight number, so maybe HAECO subcontracted to an MRO there? (like how they subcontracted the cabin refresh work to Aeroman in SAL)

I suppose that's possible. Maybe they're all tied up at LCQ and SAL, so they sent it elsewhere.

Is it weird for B6 to name a plane the "David Neeleman" when JetBlue fired their founder as CEO due to his inability to handle massive delays during a winter storm?

I don't think he was personally responsible for that, considering they had (and still have) entire departments dedicated to daily operations. Many employees at JetBlue still think very highly of him.

At a few points in time, the morale at JetBlue was so low that the crew members attempted to petition to bring David Neeleman back. That effort ended when "Moxy" was announced.

Hmm, the deliveries seem to have stopped. JetBlue is expecting 11 planes this year, so I wonder when they'll start arriving again.

Here's the delivery schedule.

Last I heard, one was coming this month. When, exactly, I'm not sure. I expect it will be N2039J or N2047J.

The VQQ mystery has been solved. The setup work is being done at Flightstar Aircraft Services. It's an MRO that was acquired by HAECO. Delta uses them too for wifi installation.

I finally flew on one of these. Very impressed with how quiet the takeoff was. Only bad part was no SiriusXM. Seriously, someone should be fired for that decision.

Either there's something wrong with N2027J or JetBlue really doesn't need it right now. It came back 2/11, was scheduled on a flight 2/17 that cancelled, and then never entered service.

I don’t understand what happened the A321neo delays delivery? Due to engines issues. If they don’t delivery. They will have find something else.

GW McLintock Feb 27, 2020 3:37 pm

Ten days ago, N2039J completed an acceptance flight at XFW. As far as I can tell, N2047J does not have engines yet. No word on N2043J or N2044J.

N2027J is still sitting around at JFK. Wonder what's going on with it.

JetBlue is planning to lease four ex-Thomas Cook A321-231s later this year to fill in the gap. More information is on the fleet guide thread.

Got it. I heard it already. They will reduce the seats. That will have 200 passengers, not 240 or 220.

Not at first... allegedly they will be rushed into service in their current configuration (214-220 seats).
