I bought a couple of flights recently using points, and had some second thoughts about the seats I selected. However, whenever I try to manage the flights, it claims that I can't do anything because they were not booked on the website.
Does anyone know if that should be expected for flights purchased with points, or is it just jetblue.com being wonky as usual?

That's always been my experience on points bookings. It's ridiculous, but when I called in I was told that after award seats are initially selected, they can only be changed by phone reps. I have no idea why that's the case, though...Originally Posted by conroy9

Not true in my case. I flew last week on a flight booked with points and I was able to change the seats multiple times leading up to the flight.
I also have 2 more upcoming flights that I booked with points, and if I login right now I have the option to change seats.

If you give them your PNR and desired seat on Twitter, they can do it for you there as well. It's easier to just send a message to "set it and forget it" and let them make the changes for you on their time so you're not sitting on the phone for a half hour waiting to speak to someone to make such a small change.Originally Posted by moulder3

Interesting. I have not had the same experience. I haven't redeemed any points recently though. If this is new, then it would be a very welcome change.Originally Posted by gr99gt
